At M&M Italian Restaurant and Lounge, we go the extra mile to ensure that we have the best building blocks to build truly outstanding meals using the freshest highest-quality ingredients.
David, our head chef, is a perfectionist when it comes to what he will send out of the kitchen. Not only must the food be cooked to perfection, but it must be plated in an appealing way. In short, our food must reach an exceptionally high standard before it leaves the kitchen.
David is convinced that one of the most important steps in creating a memorable meal is starting with the very best of ingredients. Creating great meals isn't magic, it is simply having the ability and drive to pay very close attention to a thousand details which all add up.
To that end, almost everything that we serve at M and M Italian Restaurant is made from scratch. Each morning huge pots of marinara spaghetti sauce are set to simmer on the stove. We also make our own soups, stock, au jus, mostacholi, alfredo sauce, meatballs, lasagne, and much more.
Our menu items items are cooked to order using the freshest of ingredients. We use locally-sourced vegetables that are at the peak of their flavor and high-quality name-brand spices to set off the taste of the food.
One good example of our penchant for the best quality is our prime rib. The meat that we use for our famous prime rib dinners is certified Angus which is delivered fresh and is never frozen. Certified Angus cannot come from just any cow. Our beef comes from selected cuts from specially chosen stock.
For those items that we do not have the capacity to make on-site (such as the special french bread that is served with every meal) we source it from the best suppliers we can find.
For instance, we bring in our pesto sauce from an outfit in San Francisco. Our spumoni ice-cream comes in from Santa Cruz and the aforementioned bread comes from a special bakery in San Jose that has been in business for over 100 years.
